LOS ANGELES – The 2008 National League West Division Champion Los Angeles Dodgers today named their minor league coaches and coordinators for the 2009 season. Assistant General Manager, Player Development De Jon Watson made the announcement.
The Lookouts will feature the following staff:

The Chattanooga Lookouts and Los Angeles Dodgers have officially announced that the two franchises have entered into a two-year player development contract.
With the agreement, the Lookouts will become the “AA” affiliate of the Los Angeles Dodgers in the Southern League from 2009-10. The Dodgers had previously been affiliated with the Jacksonville Suns; an affiliation which lasted eight seasons. Pedro Viola pitched a gem of a game to lead the Lookouts to a 2-1 win over the Huntsville Stars in Monday afternoon action at AT&T Field.
Both teams remained scoreless until the fourth, when the Lookouts scored two. Chris Heisey singled to begin the inning and stole second after a Justin Turner fly out. Chattanooga and Huntsville battled back-and-forth all during Sunday night’s game. As such, it would take extra innings to finally disclose the 4-3 outcome in which Huntsville came away victorious.

Ozzie Chavez had a big day at the plate to lead the Huntsville Stars to a 6-2 win over the Lookouts in Friday night action at AT&T Field.

Chattanooga faced an early 6-0 deficit but crawled within one run in the late inning. The Suns, however, staved off several rallies by the Lookouts to come away with a 6-5 win in Friday night action at AT&T Field.
